Crappy Rappers

In honor of Lupe Fiasco's new hairstyle video, I'd like to give a brief history lesson of a few our contemporary conscious figures.

1992:  Guy from Arrested Development (don't know his name, didn't feel like going on Wikipedia).

1994:  Guy from Digable Planets (see above).

2006:  Dewey, from the "Wingmen" episdoe of The Boondocks.

2012:  Lupe Fiasco

Lupe, obviously feeling the pressure from other keyboard revolutionaries, knew he had to make a drastic change in order to sell records to push his agenda forward.  Lupe went beyond sandals and capris, and did the obvious unthinkable.  He grew Chief Keef braids.  Nothing says struggle (not the Twitter definition) like Chief Keef braids, tattered clothing, and misguided protests.  Sigh.  One day, Lupe.  One day.

*I definitely forgot to include Buggin' Out from "Do The Right Thing".  Shame on me.
